The Happenings

Just thought I'd write a little about what has been going on in our lives.

Matea just turned 2! Need I say more.....Anyone who has experienced this age knows what I mean. I am not sure if gender has anything to do with it because I can't remember what Will was like when he was 2. Anyway, I wish we would have been more careful using the word NO. She loves our cat, boy kitty, her dolls and anything that her big brother does. Her favorite pastime is finding things to write on with anything that she can find to write with, much to our demise. She is really fun though and coming up with new words everyday. She is really good at giving hugs and kisses and enjoys her weekend morning snuggles in her parents bed.

Will is turning 8 in January. He is in second grade at the same school that Jackie teaches third grade. Second grade is very fun but challenging. He likes history and math but struggles studying for spelling. He really likes to play sports. He has his last Bitty Ball game in December and then it is on to some skiing. We bought him a ski pass at Mount Bachelor this year so we hope to get up there for some fun in the snow. Along with playing sports, he also likes to watch sports. His favorites are any Minnesota team in all sports, the Oregon Ducks, the Portland Trailblazers and any team Drew Bledsoe played for. The Bills, Patriots and the Cowboys. His best buddy is Henry Bledsoe .

Jackie celebrated her 40th birthday early this month with a big party. We rented a large space downtown and had a DJ to keep things going. I also put together a slideshow to recap the last wonderful 40. She is playing indoor soccer every Wednesday and trying to get out for a run whenever possible. School keeps us very busy and the weekends seem to speed past. It is really fun watching our kids grow up before our eyes. Out on the horizon is a trip to Orlando Fla. For spring break. We are meeting the whole LaFrenz crew in March.
